First, check safety
Rapidly spreading rash with severe illness, breathing trouble, blistering/peeling skin or fever with a non-blanching rash needs urgent help. Do not wait for AI.
Photos and symptoms help discuss possible causes, urgency and what to tell a dermatologist.
AI helps prepare for a doctor, not diagnose. In danger, call local emergency services (112 in the EU).
What a clinician may check
Describe the location, number, size, shape, colour, border, surface and changes over time. Mention itching, pain, bleeding, new medicines and contacts. Photos cannot confirm a skin diagnosis.
Changing moles need a dermatologist and sometimes dermoscopy. A clinician may select a skin/nail scraping for suspected fungal disease or a biopsy for an uncertain lesion. These are performed in a clinic, not at home. Spider veins alone do not establish a skin disease; sudden one-sided swelling or pain needs prompt assessment.
